How Mango Motion Brought a 3D & AI End of Year Animation to Life for PSP Communications

At Mango Motion, we believe that an end-of-year message can be more than a formality. It is a moment to show identity, connect people and end the year with a smile. For PSP Communications, we had the opportunity to do just that, through a playful but technically sophisticated 3D end-of-year animation, supported by AI.

The result: a digital New Year card that literally puts PSP's team at the centre.

The Challenge: An Original End-of-Year Card that Sticks

PSP Communications wanted to move away from the classic end-of-year greeting. No static visual or predictable animation, but a creative concept that reflected their team, their technological mindset and their playful side.

The Solution: 3D Animation Enhanced with AI

Our team set to work on a concept that combines technology and humanity. The animation starts with a laptop folding open - a recognisable symbol in a digital working environment. Miniature versions of the PSP team appear from the screen, fully developed in 3D character design.

What follows is a playful rhythm: the characters jump one by one on the keys of the keyboard. Each jump activates a letter, until together the message "Happy New Year" appears. Simple in idea, strong in execution.

Concept development

In the concept phase, we explored different angles and rhythms. AI tools helped us to quickly test variations in timing, camera movement and composition. Not to replace creativity, but to speed up and refine it.

Animation & Production

During production, the focus was on detail and flow. Jumps, keyboard interaction and character expression were carefully animated. AI was used supportively in optimising movements and streamlining the production process.

Feedback & delivery

Throughout the process, we worked closely with PSP Communications. Feedback was processed quickly, ensuring that the final result perfectly matched their expectations. The animation was delivered on time and deployed as a digital end-of-year card.
